Nadeshiko Japan!!

Actually almost no one thought that Japan won at women's world cup final.
Every media reported Nadeshiko Japan had never won against U.S. team for over 30 years. and we just had a hope as a miracle.

But they made it!!

At that time, I was watching the match at sports bar with many supporters. Of course, I hadn't watched match before, I was completely new and fickle fan.
First we just watched as a joy. But when it went into a playoff, we gradually couldn't take our eyes off from screen.
Finally it went into a penalty shootout. I couldn't stop crying.
I think they carry lots of stuffs on their shoulders.
It is not only to win the match, but also they carry a lot of burden. That means we cannot think without disaster on the 11st March.

Homare Sawa who is captain of the team said;

“We knew that what we were doing here could be about a little more than just a football tournament. If winning this makes one person, someone who lost something or someone or was hurt or damaged by the events that touched our country, feel better for even one moment, then we have really achieved a most special thing. If it makes everyone happy and joyful and gives them a reason to cheer after such difficult times, then we have been successful. Japan has been hurt and so many lives have been affected. We can not change that but Japan is coming back and this was our chance to represent our nation and show that we never stop working. This is like a dream to us and we hope our country shares it with us.”

I really proud of Nadeshiko Japan and Japanese people.
