Takayama

I really like this place where we are able to go to there for 2 and half hours from here by train.
I introduced this place on my blog again and again.
Because I like meals, antiques and especially the atmosphere at Takayama.
We usually go to there once every 2 months or every 3 months.
Last week we went to Takayama for my boyfriend's birthday.
I really wanted to celebrate him, I organized everything.
I booked train and hotel.
But I didn't have enough budget, I booked famous huge hotel where were not expensive but service to be satisfactory.

I was really surprised.
Because there were many many foreign people.
I felt it's almost like Kyoto.
I saw many people who were speaking English, French, Chinese, Korean and I couldn't know languages.
If I were use exaggerated word, I saw foreign tourist than Japanese tourist.
Point is that I've never seen such a lot of tourist from foreign country at Takayama, ever.
That's why I was so surprised.

Last time, I wrote that it was easy to forget English in Japan.
Because we usually don't speak English.
But I felt I can speak English everywhere anytime at Takayama.

At a later date, I knew Takayama was chosen three stars at Michelin guide book.
I understood reason why there were many foreign tourist.
