万葉集
I'd like to write about Manyousyu more.
According to Wikipedia, Manyousyu(万葉集; "Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves")is the oldest existing collection of Japanese poetry, compiled sometime in the Nara or early Heian periods (about 759 A.D.).
The anthology is one of the most revered of Japan's poetic compilations.
Yesterday I wrote one tanka(short poem).
I thought it was describing my feeling.
うらうらに 照れる春日に 雲雀あがり 心悲しも 独し思えば
In the serenity of the bright spring sun, a skylark rises. And I feel sad at heart as I am alone with my thoughts.
Spring has come!
It is so excited, happy and brilliant.
So I like season of spring very much.
On the other hand, spring is farewell season.
That's why it might feel sad at heart.
