Legend of Chocolate Hills in Bohol

I feel really excited!
I'll be in Cebu in a week!
Today, Rhylin and I were talking about Bohol which an island is located in two hours from Cebu island by high-speed boat.
Actually, we are going to visit there for the first time.

Rhylin told me about four legends of the Chocolate Hills.
I felt there were too funny, especially last two legends.
When I visited Cebu last September, I bought snacks called peanut kiss.
It was really good.
But,,,, did I eat lots of giant's feces?

1. The first legend tells of two feuding giants who in battling with each other hurled rocks, boulders and sand trying to destroy there foe. This fighting lasted days and exhausted the two gianst. During there exhaustion they forgot about there feud and became friends , when they left they forgot to clean up the mess of battlefield, hence the chocolate hills.

2. There was a giant who fell in love with a mortal woman named Aloya. When Aloya died, the giant became miserable. Her death caused him much pain and misery. In his sorrow he couldn't stop crying, when his tears dried the Chocolate Hills were formed.

3. The third legend tells of a town being plagued by a giant carabao, who ate all of their crops. Finally having had enough, the townsfolk took all of their spoiled food and placed it in such a way that the carabao would not miss it. Sure enough, the carabao ate it, but his stomach couldn't handle the spoiled food, so he defecated, leaving behind him a mound of feces, until he had emptied his stomach of the food. The feces then dried, forming the Chocolate Hills.

4. The last legend is about a Gluttonous giant named Dano that eats everything in his path. One day he came to a plain. He saw a beautiful young woman named Eng. To win her affection, he needed to lose weight. So he excreted everything he ate. In the end, his fecal matter covered the land and he won Eng's affection.

Sagbayan Peak is a mountain resort and recreation center located in the town of Sagbayan, about 45 miles northwest of Tagbilaran City. Offering a 360-degree perspective view of the famed Chocolate Hills plus the distant blue sea separating Bohol from the island of Cebu, the place has captured the interest of the nature loving tourists.
